A group of early childhood leaders looking to learn how technology can support and expand our approaches to engagement within the workplace and beyond to partners, parents, community members!
Workshop Description:
Technology has expanded the possibilities for engagement within the workplace, across partners, and with parents and community members. This workshop will provide an overview of the variety of ways technology tools and supports can enhance your work, aligning with traditional engagement strategies. A variety of tools will be shared that can support communication, mapping partnerships and activities, and monitoring progress toward goals. Additionally, the presenters will introduce Civic Network, a game-changing web-based platform, designed to support collaborative efforts and engage partners in discussion and information sharing across programs, issues and geographies. The Strengthening Working Families Initiative (SWFI) will be used as an example of a collaborative effort using Civic Network to engage partners, communicate and organize its work, and monitor progress and opportunities.
GrantCraft, a national organization supporting resources for collaborative funding work has a great online matrix for collaborative tools: http://collaboration.grantcraft.org/
