Emily is a Masters of Public Health student at the Colorado School of Public Health, Population Mental Health and Wellbeing concentration. Emily was with The Civic Canopy, as a manager for 4.5 years supporting projects and initiatives to strategically plan, implement, evaluate, and learn. Through cultivating openness, inclusivity, and transparency, Emily equips groups to achieve and create positive change. Their work includes coordinating the Culture of Collaboration Summit, East5ide Unified|Unido, supporting the Early Childhood Colorado Partnership, and jumping in on other Canopy work as it arises to share problem-solving skills, equity orientation, and critical thinking across the Canopy. Emily studied Sociology with a focus in Women's Studies at Colorado State University, becoming passionate about the need for stronger collaboration and advocacy through their own lived experiences, policy, and evaluation research. Emily loves nature and the outdoors, playing with their kittens, creating, and singing in the Denver Women's Chorus.
