A bit of background on our network...
Since 2015, a planning group of 14 organizations and civic leaders has met to identify what we would need to have in place to win substantial changes to our outdated constitutional fiscal policy. Each of these organizations has our mission-driven work hampered by our outdated constitutional fiscal framework. And though few of the organizations specifically articulate fiscal reform as a priority in their missions, we all agree that making reforms that could lead to more robust, more sustainable funding for public investments is a necessary condition to realizing our organizational objectives.
Because of the outdated tax code, calcified by the 25 year old amendment, our state is missing out on important opportunities for students, families and for everyday Coloradans to benefit from wise investments in community infrastructure that drives success for all. We know that local leadership, sensible messaging and broad based, diverse advocates are essential to transforming the way Coloradans invest in ourselves.
The planning group has expanded into a “Vision 2020 Network.” We are excited to invite you to participate in this Network to connect, create and support a Public Investment Majority to lead Colorado’s fiscal reform efforts.
