Cari Caudill is a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she received a Bachelors of Science in Community & Leadership Development from the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment. Cari’s passion for serving in her community has stemmed from her mother’s guidance and early involvement in a variety of community organizations. Cari was involved both on and off campus with the community. On campus, Cari served as the Director of Internal Relations for the UK Center for Community Outreach, an organization that strives to connect the University of Kentucky with the local, national, and global community. Additionally, Cari has served as a Program Director and Community Development and Fundraising Coordinator for UK Alternative Service Breaks, a student-run organization with a heavy focus on education, reflection, and direct service both domestically and abroad, and has been Participant and Site Leader on a variety of trips, including locations in Ghana, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Kentucky, California, and West Virginia. Off campus, Cari spent 6 weeks as an intern with UBELONG's international office in Lisbon, Portugal, and worked to promote UBELONG's program and explore digital communities to connect volunteers around the world.
Cari is currently serving in her first term as an AmeriCorps VISTA for Alpine Achievers Initiative in Salida, Colorado, where her service focuses on grant writing, policy writing, data collection, public relations, and nonprofit management. Cari hopes to pursue another AmeriCorps term before applying to graduate school.
