Wivine Ngongo, MPH graduated from the Colorado School of Public Health graduate program in 2017 with concentrations in Community and Behavioral Health and in Global Health. Wivine has direct experience working with community members, both locally and abroad, to address the current state of community health and implement sustainable health programs that aim to build self-efficacy in adopting healthy behaviors. Wivine currently serves as the Panel Manager for BeHeardMileHigh with The Center for African American Health where she is utilizing her expertise and experience in community engagement and public health research to help empower African Americans in the Metro Denver area lead healthier lives. In the future, she plans to dedicate her time to working with African American individuals with sickle cell disease through a public health lens to provide culturally responsive health care and education that will ultimately lead to improved blood safety surveillance, compliance with immunizations, pain prevention, and overall quality of life.
