Michelle Sturm

My work is focused in the community wealth building arena. I am a founding member of the Center for Community Wealth Building, an initiative to promote inclusive economic opportunities and normalize a new economic development model that focuses on including and creating access for residents threatened by involuntary displacement due to gentrification. In addition, I coordinate the Denver Anchor Network, which is a project of The Denver Foundation, Mile High Connects, and the Center for Community Wealth Building. The Denver Anchor Network provides a mechanism to accelerate the learning and progress of anchor institutions in the Denver metro area to align institutional resources to close the racial wealth and economic opportunity gaps in the region.
