Arrah Gallaher

Arrah Gallaher, M.A., currently serves as the Initiative Director with Goodwill Industries of Denver. In her role she works under a collective impact grant with Aurora schools, community colleges, and non-profits to make systemic initiatives in order to significantly increase the number of minority and low-income students enrolling in and completing college in Aurora. . Mrs. Gallaher began her professional career in the University of Colorado-Boulder’s Office of Diversity Affairs in the Leeds School of Business playing a lead in the effort to increase the enrollment and retention of underrepresented students. In 2015 Mrs. Gallaher completed the Aspire Hispanic Leadership Development Program and uses the skills she gained to be an effective advocate for social justice, donating much of her time to local community organizations. Mrs. Gallaher obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Colorado-Boulder in political science and educational practices and policies, respectively, finishing graduate school with highest distinctions. Mrs. Gallaher is a Colorado native, and a first generation college student and is a graduate of Northglenn High School located in Northglenn, Colorado. Mrs. Gallaher currently is the board president for Low Income Family Empowerment Center (LIFE). It is Mrs. Gallaher responsibility is to hold the board accountable for fundraising, marketing, evaluation, personnel, and product / program development for LIFE. In addition, Mrs. Gallaher is on the board of directors for the Denver Hispanic Chamber’s Foundation as well a committee member for the Denver Foundation’s Philanthropic Leadership Committee. I have found all of my experiences volunteering to be extremely rewarding, humbling, and valuable. As an individual whose current job relies heavily on the support of volunteers, I am constantly motivated to find ways that I can support my community in meaningful ways.
